Saito-Foley Modification of the Horvath and Kawazoe Micropore Model


Micromeritics announces a major modification and addition to their already powerful data reduction software for the study of microporous solids. By incorporating the cylindrical pore model developed by Saito and Foley(1) into the Horvath and Kawazoe(2) model, a better approximation to zeolite microstructure has been obtained. It relates the free energy of adsorption to the average interaction energy. This makes the data reduction capability of the ASAP 2010 Series Surface Area analyzers even more valuable and versatile.
